For Helios we do recommend reading the manual as this gives you a huge amount of detail about how to use Helios and how it works. Solar mechanics is a pretty complex thing so the more you understand the principles the better. That way you wont be pointing your camera the wrong direction when the sun comes up for that classic sunrise shot.

Very. More accurate than necessary. Make sure you are using the correct time zone and verify your results with another source, just to be sure you have correct settings.
| Does Helios work near the equator? |
Yes. In some situations the HelioMeter view has trouble representing the path of the sun. In these situations we limit you to the SkyView.
| Why do sunrise and sunset times in the newspaper vary from Helios a little? |
We define sunrise and sunset as when the sun is 0.8333 degrees below the horizon. Some define sunrise as when the sun is fully clear of the horizon. Different definitions have different times.
| Can I print the data from Helios? |
Of course. Just email yourself or the nearest computer connected to a printer the data from HelioData view.
| Can I add custom GPS coordinates? |
Sure just go to change location and choose gps coordinates. You'll need to know the timezone the location exists in so we can figure out things like timezones and daylight savings.
| Can I make suggestions? |
Absolutely we love suggestions. Many of the features we added came from people like you. Obviously if it's a stupid suggestion we may say thanks and never use it.
| Are you planning on doing the moon? |
Yes we are, it's just not as high on our list of to dos at the moment. Once we have the iPad version out, we'll turn to the moon and Howl.
| Are you going to port Helios to other platforms? |
Yes, eventually, but to be honest it's a huge job. We have to almost start all over again. The problem is that on set the iPhone is king so it's not giving us as much incentive to spend time learning new languages.
